5sp gp Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 my gp has a single fan. i have all the parts for duel fans. is the wiring hidden in the harness or what wires do you splice in to. i think my motor is crapping out so i want to convert. or is it possible to change the motor out of the bracket with a duel fan setup motor. 5speedz34 Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 The fans and the motor are all one set-up. I dont think you can change the motors, I would just bolt in the dual ones, you'll have to splice though to get 'em to work. Quote
Intlcutlass Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 I would bet that the connectors are at least in the fuse/relay block if not the wiring. If your going to swap an engine, putting in a diff colling fan unit would be easy by comparison. I am not even sure I would use the original wiring..It would be a perfect time to install a manual turn on switch. Quote
5sp gp Posted December 23, 2004 Author Report Posted December 23, 2004 my engine is not shot the cooling fan motor was. the bearings were wore out so i droped in one of the fans from the duel setup. should i splice both fans together or run wires from the fuse center. Quote
Guest TurboSedan Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 my car used to have the dual fans, but the secondary fan motor went south so i removed it completely. one fan was all i needed, even sitting in the Burger King drive through last summer at 90' Quote
