Hey has anyone ever come across this. When i unplug the air sensor and drive between 2 - 7 miles the check engine light comes on but when i shut the car off and start it again the light does the same thing again. Anyone know how to fix this so that the light wont come on??

plug the air sensor back in?

:withstupid: ...why did you unlplug it...

:werd: X3

That sensor is there for a reason. Although it is kinda trivial compared to the oxygen sensor, unplugging it will still cause the ECM to fall back on a "default" table, and will reduce your car's fuel economy, performance, etc...

I was told that unplugin it would result in more HP and it does seem to have more. I just did it to see if it was true and never plugged it back in. More or less a test.

more power from no air sensor.....sounds like a killer ricer mod to me. Plug the thing back in and drive the car and dont test anything else before asking someone who has a clue about cars.

Ya forgot to buy a 'chip' off ebay for 74 bucks, which is basically a 1 cent resistor. Plug that in and you'll fly.
