Carotop Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 Alright I'm pretty sure this has been asked before. Are the motor mounts for the 3.1 exactly the same as the 3400? I wanna get the FFP mounts but I will soon be droppin a 3400 in so I was wonderin if they're compatible so I don't waste money. Quote
GPXSS Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 which mounts, the dogbone mounts? that depends on what mount brackets you use. If you use your old brackets, then yes.. the 3.1 and 3400 both use the same dogbone mount. They also both use the same engine mounts, just with diff brackets. Quote
terryk2003 Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 FFP makes mounts for the 3.1!? :? ...only thing i saw on there last i looked where some for a 3.4... Quote
Carotop Posted December 20, 2004 Author Report Posted December 20, 2004 Yea they have 3.1 mounts. They're the 2 dogbones. So the 3400 and 3.1 have the same dogbone mounts? Quote
EurosportZ34 Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 i would assume that the 3400 mounts are the same as the 3100 but pry not the same as the 3.1 Quote
terryk2003 Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 ok...iC...3.1 ...but, i'm not sure those are the same as a 3100/3400!?... :? Quote
Brian P Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 The 3x00 has a different style upper mount, but they are interchangeable. You will need the brackets that connect the 3.1 "dogbones" to the front tie-bar. Quote
dbtk2 Posted December 20, 2004 Report Posted December 20, 2004 Well, I can tell you that my 3.1 dogbones fit on the 3100 upper mount that I had to use in my topend swap. That would lead me to believe that the FFP mounts would fit a 3X00 just fine. Shawn Quote
