This is my idea for the cold air intake im gonna make for my car. let me know what u think or have anyother ways of make one.

I'm gonna run it from the where its at down to where the intake comes out infront of the battery and behind the head light on the drivers side then make a 90 degree turn and run it right out behind the grill with a Honda civic style air intake from auto zone witch will fit just right. the only thing is that the way it comes from the battery place and the 90 degree turn is that its gonna be kinda of a back words s turn and im afraid that would cause alot of air restriction. or my ithought of instead of runnin it 90 degree to the grill turn it and run it straight down so that it sticks just below the fender but i was talkin to a kid and he said when his was set up that way it was rainin and it sucked his filter flat.

Anyone have a comment or other way for me to add a cold air intake to my car and knows how to do it?

When i had my 88' GP I pondered ideas for a CAI but never came up with any easy ideas. Going below the battery area there was alway the A/C pipes and shit in the way and the main fan so there wasn't really much room.

I compared having a open cone filter (attached to the stock hose) vs. an airbox (gutted) at the track, and there was a noticable difference in favor of the airbox. I'm sure that if it wasn't gutted I would have done even better.

Bottem line I just gave up cause an airfilter isn't gonna turn an 18 second car into a mid 17 second car...

I love my 3100 :D

I'm gonna try to make a CAI for the car through the front of the car or that i've read on here through the fender well. witch i can see being a idea but the risk of me livin down here in the country the tires hittin the filter. I'm gonna run some 17" 18" rims when i get money. Anyone think there might be a problem with clearin the filter?
