GM Fuel Pump for 97-2003 SC engines (Vin1)

I'm trying to find out if it's possible to swap original fuel pump on a 2001 Regal GS with a supercharged engine for a performance in tank fuel pump. I really do not wish to pay 300+ bucks for the entire assembly when only the pump has failed.

My concerns are: the pressure and the volume that the fuel pump will provide.

The original pump produces 48-55 PSI. Does any one know the volume of fuel it will do?

I was looking at some highvolume Edelbrock pumps (255 liter/hr. (67 gph), 60+ psi for Turbo, Supercharger or Nitrous). Would this work ok in my case?

Any help would be appreciated.

I know that.

The real reason is to get a pump for cheaper. I'm looking right now at spending over $300 +S/H

Most performance Fuel Pumps cost less than $150.

I have a custom fuel pump assembly and do not want to void the OEM warranty by removing the pump from the Assembly.

The OEM pump failed, since I removed it from the assembly, they won't take it back. That's the deal :(

are you the guy that put the regal interior into a lumina? if so, great work.

anywho, check out http://www.l67swap.com . i know it was posted on there at one time the gph and what not that the fuel pump will do. and if i'm not mistaken they recomended a holley fuel pump for the guys doing an l67 swap, so there is an aftermarket pump out there

Intense Racing sells the Walbro 255 liter/hr fuel pump that everyone on L67Swap.com talks about.

Here's the link:

I would not buy that one if I was you. There is a huge thread about that pump on clubgp not performing like its supposed to.

How long do you think this pump would last. Is it one of those good for a couple of races products or something that would last for years?

By the way, thanks a lot. exactly what I was looking for.
