Tigershark Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Ahh the never ending story of the 3.4 DOHC. Seems like now I can't really accelerate properly. If I do it lightly it takes of nice otherwise it sputters away. When I get to a light i have to throw it in neutral otherwise it just dies. WTF. This is driving me nuts. I got it in the back at the moment replacing the rear brakes and will soon ( very soon ) be looking at the best possible way of replacing the alternator, which should be fun from what I hear. I'm also trying to figure out some kind of cold air intake without having to scavenge air from the bottom of the car. I'm tinking that a setup like the ram air is possible in the CS with some minor surgery to the underhood, and a little modification to the air box. well damn. Any advice on the Sputtering? Oh yeah did I mention the control arm is bent so I gots to take that off. my car ilooks like its got permanent quadrasteer because of it, one of the rear tires looks like it turning to the right . that's the story. any help? Regal_GS_1989 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 IAC, TPS, EGR, Coils, Plugs, Wires etc... Could be any of those things. I would do a tune-up, and see whap happens after that. To be Honest, I have never had an troubles with any w's like sputtering on acceleration, or anything like that. The only problem I have ever had is a weak coil that cuts out when it gets humid. :?
