terryk2003 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 haha... ALMOST everyone with a w-body has that problem... ...i don't think its the mirrors though...probably the weather stripping...do a search...there was just a thread NOT long ago about that ELUSIVE WHISTLING NOISE... Quote
buckethead Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24005 Read my post on finding and fixing the problem, I got that info from horsepower TV Quote
GrimZ34 Posted December 15, 2004 Author Report Posted December 15, 2004 Sweet first thing on my to do list becouse i cant stand that gd noise :x Quote
Regal_GS_1989 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Wow!! My 88 and 89 Regals both have their original weather stripping and none of them whistle. Wierd :? In fact, the only whistling is on my 89 at high RPM. It's from the straight pipe in place of the cat. Quote
terryk2003 Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 got new weather stripping for the doors and then adjusted the hinges.....my CS is very quite now..... 8) what did you adjust on your doors!?...i was thinkin that maybe i could adjust mine some and get the noise to stop... Quote
jeremy Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 my cutty seems to be quite quiet actually... Quote
Speckkial Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 I thought I was the only one with that problem. I'm glad someone said it isn't the mirror though. I was ready to rip mine off after the first week I bought the car. This is my second CS. I didn't have that problem on my first one. Hmmmmmmmm. Quote
Brian P Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Yeah that was the weirdest shit! The plastic windshield-to-door seal/molding on my '95 had some of the "clear plastic" peel. Well the wind while driving caused it to flap enough to make a whistle/squeal sound. What a stupid thing to happen. Quote
GrimZ34 Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 lol yah stupid but quiet a pain in the ass to hear Quote
gimp19 Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 My Intrigue has that problem, the Cutty didnt though Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 My 88' did that but I was going more like 100+mph Back when we had our 85 T-bird I remember it doing it at 140km/h Quote
