Air flow

Oh yeah, it'll be worth it if constructed correctly.

Anytime you can cooler air into the engine, that helps with performance.

Cooler air is more dense and will have more oxygen molecules to burn more fuel completely creating more power.

The only thing you need to watch out with a cold-air intake (CAI) is large puddles of water.

Sucking up direct water into the intake manifold and into the engine will create "hydrolock".

Since water is virtually incompressible, the force the engine tries to compress water will bent / break internal engine parts.

ok i knew the cooler the air the better but alot of people have said that the short ram air intake was better... myself I think the cold air intake is the better way to go, Thx..

The short air intake, will at idle grab air from the engine bay, which is naturally going to be hotter, but when your moving it'll grab cooler air but mostly from the engine bay area. Your best bet is to go and if you can make a good set-up go with the CAI. A few members on here have made one, you have to remove the battery and relocate it.

Finding a small one off another car is one option, or you could just ditch it all together(I very rarely use mine anyways).

Dude.. why the hell do you have a 5000 watt sub on a 100watt(300jensen watts) amp. i bet you dont hit more then 130dbs and thats being jenerous with that wattage.

Put a little more power behind that speaker and you might just then be untouchable db wise.. im talking Minimum 750watts(NOT cheep amps like jensen, bolt, lightning audio, or profile but amps like eclips, fosgate, orion, US accustics, or kicker).. other then your amp it looks like a good work in progress.

As a side note........

While the battery relocation method is the only way to get a true CAI setup on LQ1 cars, the LHO's and L82's CAN do a CAI and still keep the battery in the stock location.

I know BIGBULS has posted some ideas on how to do it at least twice............
