bluegp Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 Will epoxy work to bond metal to metal? If it does, is it any better than jb weld? If you're talking about body/structural repairs, there are specific adhesives for bonding metal to metal in automotive applications. The car manufacturers use them as well as the kit car industry. Sorry I don't know any specifics, but maybe check out what the kit car guys are using. Quote
Brian P Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 JBweld really hasnt done anything worth a damn, at least not for me yet. Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Lemme guess... Body work? I wanna say BOV.. Quote
SUPERDUTYD Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 bondo works pretty well for bonding metal. Quote
no1kicker Posted December 14, 2004 Author Report Posted December 14, 2004 Lemme guess... Body work? I wanna say BOV.. Correct...the bov is welded to a flange, or should I say, a piece of a spare upper IC pipe. It's going on a spare lower pipe. It will be bonded kind of around the lower pipe. Quote
