Heza Posted December 11, 2004 Author Report Posted December 11, 2004 looks good! Did you polish it by hand? yup...starting with 100 grit up to 1500 grit and then black rouge, brown rouge, and white rouge. 2 weeks time at 2-4 hours a day. Quote

I plan on it. I really only have a charging issue under heavy acceleration now. It seems that above 3500 rpm, my volt guage drops below the half way mark, and she doesn't run like she should. But... for normal everyday driving, it's running great now! Thanks again for that harness! Quote
z34_nut Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 i envy! well did you use a clearcoat on that or anything? Quote
Dannymik Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 thats the best looking 3.4 I've seen on this board...looks ausome. Quote
WhiteOut Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 Nice!!! When are you going to do mine? I took the easy way out, polishing was too much work so I just settled for a sanding and a fresh coat of wheel paint to make it look good. Quote
Heza Posted December 12, 2004 Author Report Posted December 12, 2004 clearcoat...no!!! DONT EVER USE CLEARCOAT ON HIGH HEAT AREAS!!!! if you do...youll notice that itll start turning yellow. clearcoat doesnt like high heat. the rouge acts like a wax, so it stay nice. thanks for the best looking 3.4 on board comment!!! since ive fixed the little stuff, im getting anal with appearance...with only more to come. as for doing yours WhiteOut...send them to me, pay me, and ill return them back to you looking like that. BUT...itll probably take me a week or so to finish. Quote

Brian P Posted December 12, 2004 Report Posted December 12, 2004 well it wouldn't make sense anyway, since it's down there. But you'd be the pioneer if you did it. Quote
