OldsmoBeast
So its sunday and I'm officially an idiot again. My fave yard is always open on Sundays so I went down there today right as I pulled up to the empty parking lot, I remembered what the owner had told me a few days ago...They're closed for 'restructuring' for about a month!!!! So I have a set of 3400 Intakes and I'm pretty screwed for everything else...I didn't even pay them yet! I know that the boys will probably be around come tomorrow or at least sometime and I'm sure they'll have no problems letting me in to finish pulling my heads and of course, pay them. But for now, no action. I have too much to do today so tomorrow I'll start taking apart my engine, and since it might be a while before I get all my parts and required elements, I'll more than likely spend time cleaning up my engine and the new parts that I got, and maybe findnig a way to file down the '3400 SFI' on my newer plenum so that it looks more like '3100 SFI'. Oh and I still have to find a reasonably priced gasket it. Canadian tire would charge me over $300 for a set of top end gaskets. Am I mistaken or is that WAYYY too much? I'm going to try NAPA tomorrow and see what they say. Just thought I'd keep everyone updated, like I promised I would. Take care, YK

That seems like quite a bit for gaskets, even in canadian dollars.

The local NAPA place wants $396 for the gaskets and $50 for bolts!!! Has the world gone insane or is this the cost of gaskets?! I mean come on...is there 400 bucks worth of anything in this gasket kit? Ugh...frustrating... This job is on hold until I can get a deal on parts... I'm spending too much as it is. Brian P
Order it from Brasington, see if they ship to Canada and accept CC from you (they'll bill you in USD) http://www.gmotors.com I'd recommend calling their 1800 # though.
