1RedGP Posted December 8, 2004 Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 The CD player in my 96 GP has the message on it "In Op", which I assume means I tried the theft lock code too many times and now the radio has really locked itself up. Can this be fixed? I now know what the code is to unlock it, but everytime I try to enter it by pushing the minute button the screen goes from "LOc" to InoP". Any ideas? DiscoStudd Posted December 8, 2004 Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 Here is what the owner's manual says, verbatim: "If you enter the wrong code eight times, InOP will appear on the display. You will have to wait an hour with the ignition on before you can try again. When you try again, you will only have three chances to enter the correct code before InOP appears." I just put in a reman Poncho deck in my GP, and decided to set the TheftLock, so I still had the 'ole owner's manual sittin' out on my desk turned to that page ...
