95 3-4 Posted December 8, 2004 Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 And when you start it up it makes a nasty crazy noise ? does it increase with engine speed and what not ? Â I know when I have installed some high performance aftermarket clutches there have been clearancing issues with the trans case where you have to relieve some of the case so it dont make all type of grinding noise. skalor Posted December 8, 2004 Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 The pressure plate of the clutch could be rubbing against the inside of the tranny bellhousing like mentioned above. My 284 had marks on the inside of the bellhousing similar to the ones in the picture below.
