loud noise from clutch

it sounds like metal against metal squeling any ideas

Pressure plate metal against flywheel metal with a friction disc in the middle that has lost its friction material and is now only a metal shell. Does it still grab or disengage ?

is it only when you press the clutch in?

the clutch is engaged...the clutch is a spec stage 3 and it is brand new...i cant disengage it right now because i cant get the master cylinder to work

And when you start it up it makes a nasty crazy noise ? does it increase with engine speed and what not ?

 

I know when I have installed some high performance aftermarket clutches there have been clearancing issues with the trans case where you have to relieve some of the case so it dont make all type of grinding noise. Perhaps thats what your expierencing

it seems to disapper when it revs up....fiero guys use the same basic setup

The pressure plate of the clutch could be rubbing against the inside of the tranny bellhousing like mentioned above. My 284 had marks on the inside of the bellhousing similar to the ones in the picture below.
