jeremy Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 I like this style better so I want to know if it will fit on my 3100. I think this style looks much nicer, especially when painted/powdercoated, but I wanted to make sure it fits, before I go looking for one. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 It should.. but don't quote me on it. I believe all they did was change the text on it. Quote
bartonmd Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 didn't they change the port sizes when they went from the 3.1 to the 3100? and MPFI to SFI? That engine makes like 30 more horses than the early 90's rendition. I've not tried it or anything, and I"m sure it'd work if you also changed your lower intake, but I don't know about a new upper sitting on an old lower... :?: Mike EDIT: Wait, nevermind... you have a '97 already... disregard the above. bartonmd Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 (Hit "refresh" and see "EDIT" at bottom) Sorry, I just looked at the pic of your car and figured it was probably an early 90's... then looked after posting and saw it was a '97. Mike Quote
Vegeta Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 They changed the EGR in 2000...so you need a 96-99 plenum. I doubt they changed the look in those years either, so to do that swap you need the lower intake, plenum, and egr adapter. Worthwhile for the larger ports, but not if you are doing it just for the text. Quote

5speedz34 Posted December 6, 2004 Report Posted December 6, 2004 You could probably pick up a intake for pretty cheap I would think. Plus if it didn't work it would be a easy sell. Quote
