cryptnix
Yesterday morning was the first of me starting to notice this. But I would feel and see the RPM's go down. Also noticed I was .5 low on the trans. Stupid me didn't fill it up all the way to the "OK" line. (Just a quick reference... if it were the trans wouldn't the RPM's go up?) when I was accelerating I have done a full maitenence on this car as far as tune up. I am using Platinum plugs though and it was about this time last year when I changed them. I recall someone saying something about not using these plugs because the 3100/3400's don't like them, or, they just don't show much of a difference? Well whatever the case guys. I greatly appreciate your replies. If you guys could fill me in with some ideas of why it would be plrentiful. Thanks. Its just not making sense to me. Robby1870
be more specific about "the rpms go down" statement. When do they go down, how much, under what conditions, etc
cryptnix
It feels like its missing. Hesitation to speak it seems. I can't really understand it myself but other than describing it by those terms. Morning starts @ 700~1000 rpms and them pops up to 1500 for a few minutes and then after while she goes back down. She's currently clocked at 140,000 miles. I know this isn't a gasket issue because if it were ... my idle would stay that way ... if it were the mani it would by sloppy and i'd have a chocolate shake a brewing of which I do not. Trans shows the most best smelling trans fluid I've smelt before lol, same with coloring of it. (Talk about scrambled brained)
WhiteOut
You didn't use Bosch plugs did you?
sonyman87
any power issue isnt going to be directly trany issue unless it pops out of gear or the Torq converters arent kicking in. a stumble would indicate fouled plugs or broken ingintion wires mostlikely by in some cases might also be a coil pack going out.
