choosing an engine

Which engine

  1. 1. Which engine

Recommended Posts

well i've come down to a point...

i need to decide what engine i want in my car before i spend any money

i'm stuck between a 3.1/3x00 Hybrid Turbo and a N/A high compression 3.4 DOHC

the 3.1 would be the easiest since i already have one...but the thought of a high revving 24 valve engine equally makes my nipples hard

3.1 turbo just cause of the ease of working on a pushrod. after i went from 3.1 to dohc it was insane the amount of engine bay space the dohc took up, and maintenance things took so long. when i went to the 3400 i forgot just how much room there was and felt blessed by some divine being for having gone back to a pushrod motor. however when the dohc hits 3k you can't help but smile as it kicks your ass a bit deeper into the seat. never had a problem breaking the tires loose at 3K from a roll.

i voted 3.4 for obvious reasons, but make sure it's mated with the getrag 284...that is a very good poll though!

i'm in that dilema also if i should swap an LG5 or an LQ1 someday in my Euro.

3.1 Turbo/LG5 if you can find the parts to completely convert yours or an entire TGP motor/setup to throw in there. Other then that, I'd probably go w/ a 3400 and mod it a little.

i honestly think i've choosen the 3.1 route

i'm either going to pick up a UDP or Chip here soon and start modding this bitch...

been a year and a half and it's still bone stock

Guest Gp crazy

I picked the 3.4.

I like the way it looks and feels when you push on it hard ! :rocking:

If I got a ride in one with a 5 speed it would be wonderful. Even better own one 8) that would be great!
