Hey everyone,

Does anyone know where I can go to get upgrades for my Prix? 96 Grand Prix w/ 3.1.

I am interested in placing a larger Throttle Body, Cold Air Intake, HEI system w/ 8-8.5 mm wires. Can a mild cam be placed? Is there one made for this engine?

As for the suspension I have seriously considered placing Air Bags, Changing out the 16" Rims for 18". I want to be able to set the car down when parked and raise it when driving.

These are my plans for my ride along with a new paint job (black) w/fine pinstripping (yellow or green) and tinting my windows.

Thinking of a name for my car...does the Batmobile sound suitable?

Suggestions are appreciated. I am also located in Calif.

Hmm.... 3100, feel sad for you. The GP itself does look nice though.

As for those mods, lets calculate the HP:

Larger TB(get one from a 3400, anything else would be too big)- 1-2 HP

Cold Air Intake(custom made)- ~5 HP

HEI blah blah blah- The stock Delco ignition is plenty good. No gains whatsoever.

Cam- You will have to have that custom made. Benefits- Not as much as what you are hoping for.

As for the suspension, it will have to be all custom. You CAN buy lowering springs for the front. As for the rear, you have 2 options: Custom leaf spring or coil-overs. Each have there up's and down's.

18" rims- Always a plus, atleast style and autocross wise. Not too good for racing though, especially if there heavy.

Thanks for the update Chris. Nice Chevy you got. Also I wasnt serious about the Batmobile thing. I just thought it was an interesting name since the style of the 96GP has a stealth appearance. Also I have found a site some time ago that would be able to accomodate my needs should I decide to persue them. I thought it would be a good idea to ask around to see what others thought and also get an idea as to what is out there. Thanks again for your reply.

Not many people here like RSM. Overpriced, bad customer service, but if they got what you want, go for it
