Fieroguy65 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Hey guys, I have a '92 Lumina 3.1 that is bad and I have a chance to pick up a 3100 for $650 brand new. How much difference and how much extra work to make it go? Thanks in advance for the help. Greg Quote
Robby1870 Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 You can use the 3.1L wiring harness and that'll make the swap much easier. You'd have to get the MEMCAL tuned a little to make it run optimully, given the 3.1L MEMCAL isnt made for the 3100 head design. Only thing is you wont have a 3100 SFI, you'd have a 3100 MPFI, but no big deal. Thats what I would do, plus, 3100 is 20 more horses. And you'd have to make the throttle linkage hook up to the 3100 TB which is a little different than the 3.1L. Thats all I can think of now, but Im sure there's more Quote
