chadz34
All right I want to supercharge my Lumina Z34. But, I don't know what kind of supercharger to get. Would the GTP supercharger fit from the 3.8? What all is involved with this? what ahs to be changed? I'd probably need a new hood.
NOHC_WBody
Would the GTP supercharger fit from the 3.8? Yeah, as long as you swap the rest of the L67 over with it. What all is involved with this? what ahs to be changed? I'd probably need a new hood. A 3800 rear motor mount, the L67's wiring harness, a 4T65-EHD, your outer CV joints from the Z34 mated to 65-EHD axles...I think there's more, but I'm having a brain fade this morning. Ironically, you don't need a new hood with the swap. [edit] I DID forget a bit of it. Check this out http://www.l67swap.com/faq.htm

Aaron
That's what he wants to do is use the Eaton M90 from a GTP to his Z34. Not use a L67 motor. There is a topic about this somewhere that I replied to, do a search....
dbtk2
It would be way more work than it is worth IMO because you would have to fab up a different intake manifold and adapt the LQ1 TB to the blower or adapt the L67 TB to the LQ1 electronics. Personally I would just put a turbo on it because it would be a lot simpler IMO. Shawn
Aaron
The turbo includes a lot of custom exhaust work, and intake piping running all over hell's half acre. IMO the S/C would be easier, but the turbo would net more power.
EurosportZ34
TURBOcharge your LQ1...that'd be the sickest V6 around, even faster than the L67
dbtk2
TURBOcharge your LQ1...that'd be the sickest V6 around, even faster than the L67 Faster than the STOCK L67. Hell, even my turbo 3.1 is faster than a stock L67. :fruity: Shawn
Aaron
It isn't a challenge to make a 3.4L TDC or a 3.1 Turbo faster than a L67. An intake, chip, and UD pulley did it for me. The headers just made it invincible to L67s with pulleys and such.

The headers I'm sure made it so you could take stock L67's, but pullied L67's would be close. Shawn
Aaron
Again to fight...God that was on my old motor without headers. And I was spinning through first and second, as was Luke in his TGP. And we were still at 1200ft alt, corrected it was like a 14.53.
digitaloutsider
A supercharged LQ1 would be sweet, but I'm not sure if it's worth the amount of money it would take to pull it off. I feel sad to say this, but if you want a boosted engine, just swap in the L67 or maybe go to an LG5 with a bigger turbo.
Aaron
Who was it with the turbo 3.4L GP, he pulled it off for under $2500. Which btw would be cheaper and easier than a L67 swap IMO.
