Strange Throttle Problem

Sometimes when ever I go to take off, I press on the accelerator and push it down smoothly, the car will accelerate choppy kind of like if i were pressing of the gas at 10% then 30% (instantly) then like 40% instead of increasing in increments of 1. It will feel like it jumps in large increments sometimes like the throttle cable is sticking. It doesn't feel like the throttle cable it sticking at all because that moves freely. I think it may be the TPS or possibly the MAP sensor... I noticed whenever I hold the pedal down while accelerating(at the same spot) you will feel the pull more a second later, even though you didn't press on the accelerator anymore. (i think that's probably just the computer compensating). Second opinions?

TPS

is there a way to test it!? :?

Unplug the electrical connector, and probe the terminals of the TPS itself with a multi-meter set to OHMs. Open and close the throttle (with the car off of course) and watch the resistance reading. If there's a spot where it "opens" (reads "OL" on the meter) then you know the TPS is shot...
