Droping engine / tranny in 97 gtp questions

alright soon i'm helping my friend drop a engine and tranny in his 97 gtp, i'm wondering the easiest way to wire it all up.

 

i'd imagine pulling the engine bay harnas and attatching it to the engine and tranny outside the car would be the easiest, is this true and where is the bulkhead connector on second gen w bodys? it's not on the upper passenger side of the firewall like gen 1 cars?

the PCM and harness runs to the driver side where the air box is.
