no1kicker
I have an extra TGP power seat, and it's pretty comfortable. Myself and my housemates thought it would be cool to put in our house this spring. I still have the console controls for the seat and the silver box under the seat. How hard would it be to get it to work out of the car? Assuming I could find a 120 to 12V adapter at radio shack. TIA
89BuickRegalGS
it would be cool to mount it to some wood coverd in uplostry matching the car and stuff
GnatGoSplat
It wouldn't be too difficult, but I think the motors will need a bigger power supply than you can get from Radio Shack. I think they'll need 15A at least, so maybe an old AT power supply out of a computer would be the way to go on that. Some power supplies need a load on the 5V rails before the 12V kicks on. That would make for one badass computer chair!
no1kicker
I have the seat in my house now, just trying to figure out how to mount it. I noticed a hose at the front of it that I think draws air from the car. Anyone know where in the car this air comes from?
Justin
That's the air feed for the passenger side bags. I'm sure the compressor draws air from the drivers side seat, somewhere. That's the way it is with the CS pneumatic seats anyway.
