CortxVortx Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 I can't quite figure out, from the Haynes manual, where the PCV is located on my '89 Regal 2.8L. Can any of y'all help me out here? Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 It should be on the rear valve cover towards the drivers side. Quote
OldsmoBeast Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 you might need to rotate your engine forwards (your Haynes will explain it) to access your PCV valve. it shouldn't be too hard to miss on the back of your engine. Quote
89Cutlass Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I had the same problem trying to find the damn thing too. Finally i found it on the rear valve cover. YOu shouldnt need to tilt the motor to get at it just remove the Sensor i believe its the MAF sensor and stick your hand down there. I think im the only one that can change his back 3 plugs with out tilting the motor ive done 3 or 4 other guys cars for them too without tilting the motor. Quote
OldsmoBeast Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 how'd you manage that? pop off your MAP and feel around back there? Quote
Brian P Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 When I was 16 and knew zilch about these engines being able to tilt, I did the back 3 plugs and managed to break the map sensor vacuum line right where it "intersects" with another vac line. Bad events happened after that Quote
89Cutlass Posted January 17, 2003 Report Posted January 17, 2003 I just no my these cars so well that i can change the back plugs with my eyes closed and using a swivil of the rachet. Quote
