What Is This Connector?

I have one of those connectors hiding in the back of everything too. I'm interesed in what it is as well.

I have steering wheel controls and mine aren't disconnected, so that's ruled out.

I think this is it. The wire colors look like they match up. It's the plug for the radio amplifier.

My (factory) radio only has one connection on it. The connector has a plug in it already, and the radio works. Does this mean there is a separate stereo amplifier under the dash?

Okay, so it's a plug for a factory amp, but here's what the RSWC (GM-speak for "Redundant Steering Wheel Controls") connector looks like:

To me it looked a bit like an HUD plug....but not likely..

funny enough, I have the module that connector plugs into and couldn't figure out what it was for or what it did. Pulled it out of a 95 GTP, under I/C right side of dash.

The colors of the wires look to be for the radio, I could tell that before looking at the diagram that was posted.

The 97+ Gp's had the same amplifier plug which was used as a subwoofer amp for the rear 6x9's on the 8 speaker (non bose) system.
