What Is This Connector?

I have one of those connectors hiding in the back of everything too. I'm interesed in what it is as well.

 

factory steering wheel controls????

 

I have steering wheel controls and mine aren't disconnected, so that's ruled out.

My (factory) radio only has one connection on it. The connector has a plug in it already, and the radio works. Does this mean there is a separate stereo amplifier under the dash?

I think this is it. The wire colors look like they match up. It's the plug for the radio amplifier.

 

Woohoo! I am so smart! :lol:

Ok, maybe not a Bloze amp, but I was closer than anyone else. 8)

Okay, so it's a plug for a factory amp, but here's what the RSWC (GM-speak for "Redundant Steering Wheel Controls") connector looks like:

The colors of the wires look to be for the radio, I could tell that before looking at the diagram that was posted.

The 97+ Gp's had the same amplifier plug which was used as a subwoofer amp for the rear 6x9's on the 8 speaker (non bose) system.
