93CutlassSupreme
I've never tried Delco pads personally. Hopefully GM didn't outsource and go with a cheap company (they probably did) I use prostop ceramic. i figured AC Delco pads would be a good choice because my grandfather's Alero, my mom's Impala, hell even my dad's 3/4 ton Silverado all have great factory brakes. i've heard AC Delco pads are re-baged Raybestos Quiet Stops. not sure how true that is but i've heard that from a few people. The new GM's also have revised master cylinders and power boosters. Heck my dad's '02 GP compared to mine, nothing is the same. But if that's true that the delco's are rebadged QS, then that's your problem. The QS are a HARD compound, which overheat rotors and warp them. Braking effort is also increased a little. believe it or not, these Delco pads are better than the Bosch pads i had. they don't groove the rotors like the Bosch pads either. my rotors are still smooth
Brian P
I know about Bosch pads too. They're even harder than the QS's and they overheat as well, and usually glaze up. They do this on Toyotas and other imports, I can imagine it being that much worse on a w-body. I get this info from the mechanics at my job that used to install these different pads, as well as customer feedback (I get an earfull, believe me)
