5-Speed Swap

hello everyone,

I am considering converting my 92 STE to 5-speed, what do I need exactly from the donor car, and do I need to change my ECM.

what cars can I use as a donor.

you will need the pedals, tranny, shifter assembly, ecm, any 5sp w-body will have every thing you will need

you can keep the current ECM, just change the memcal inside it.

dont you need a new power brake booster also?

i've heard the larger '96+ W-body brake booster can't be used with a manual transmission because it gets in the way of the clutch master cylinder which sits right next to the booster.

in the 94-96 the boosters are too big in the GPs and i think other w-bodies of those years

 

 

mine is almost done....got the clutch today need a couple things should be going friday
