rmac24vdohc Posted September 10, 2002 Report Posted September 10, 2002 Haven't posted here since the new board went up. While I am still missing the joy of shifting myself (88 cutlass 5 speed), I have found that my 3.4 convertible is a blast. This engine may be the sweetest sounding V6 I have ever heard. The roar this sucker makes from 4000RPM and up is just awesome. I know that it starts cutting back power at around 5500 but it feels strong all the way to 6250. Convertibles rule. The roll bar really limits the shaking that is normally associated with them. Top seals well and everything (no leaks). All is well until I have to start performing maintenance on it (belt, alt. etc). Hopefully with only 62K on it I can keep it in tip top shape. I actually tried to race my wife in our GTP. 0-60, no contest (GTP kills me). 60+ the 3.4 will keep up. The biggest difference I have noticed is the quality of the tranny. 4T65 is far, far superior.
