3.4 DOHC revs to a 6500 rpm redline. Revving past that any your looking for trouble. Fool.

its a freak accident. reving that high. i hit 8000rpms once.. in 1st and the trany droped out of first at 5k WOT and the motor had enough gas to get the rpms up to 8k befor the gover kicked in. i would put some liquid wrench or wd-40 on your throttlebody spring just to be sure it dosnt stick.

Mine is 6k.

With DHP/Intense, yes.

 

Uh no it is stock. I guess 5800 in 1st and 6k in 2nd.

My car would not shift to 6k because of the rev limiter even when i was manually shifting out of 2nd. My car now shifts to 6k at WOT in every gear because of the INTENSE PCM I have.

Revving it that high is silly. The only time my car revs high is when I'm racing it, and even then its 5500 or so. Trying to impress a person buying a Lamborghini is even dumber, because all your doing is making yourself look like a ricer boy.

I think the only way you'd scare a lambo owner that way is if he thought "OH Crap, that kid's car is gonna explode and the shrapnel is gonna rape my paint job!!!"

Have the car looked at by a professional you trust-as soon as you can. It sounds like you might have f'd up a cam. I'm not sure if slipping a tooth would actually screw up your engine, but it could make the car sound funny if your cam banks aren't timed together.

ok i reved it up to like 3 grand and since i have a vaccum leak it went to 7 and got stuck there. i did not do it on purpose. any ways i checked the timing it is pretty close to dead on. so do you think it could mean i need a new engine. where should i start. because i have a warrante until feb for the tranny and that dont care about. but do you think it could just be the tranny making all the noise. i also checked my compression on 2 cyclinders i have 180 on 2 more i have 160 and the other 2 are like 190. they use to be all like 210. how much do you think this is going to cost me a lot. and what do you think i shoould do

1, it shouldn't go over 6500 unless you can manually shift your gears and bypass the ECM for shift points. 2, check your brake booster.

check my brake booster. you mean the line or the big thing. why would this do anything and why would i not be able to goe fast. i mean at 4 grand it sounds like poop

the brake booster, has the a huge vacuum draw, check the check valve on the brake booster. It could be as simple as that! That compres. reading isn't that bad.
