Carotop Posted November 2, 2004 Author Report Posted November 2, 2004 Yea I noticed alot of stuff was expensive or SOLD INSTALLED ONLY. But they do have a good selection of stuff. Do you know of any other places like them that have better stuff? Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 Yea I noticed alot of stuff was expensive or SOLD INSTALLED ONLY. But they do have a good selection of stuff. Do you know of any other places like them that have better stuff? you mean an AFTERMARKET? no, there is no AFTERMARKET for first-gen w-bodies. damn, all these aftermarket threads are making me depressed Quote
perfecseal Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 there a site called http://www.jbodyperformance.com/new/newIndex.php they specilize in cavaliers but have TONS of stuff fo the 2.2 2.8 3.1 and 3x00 motors check it out... Quote
Carotop Posted November 3, 2004 Author Report Posted November 3, 2004 Well I guess those websites are the only aftermarket that I could find. Well since everyone seems to not like any of these companies what would you say is the best overall? Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 well, if you want aftermarket, get another car. there isn't much out there, and it looks like lots of us have had bad experiences with those companies Quote
Carotop Posted November 3, 2004 Author Report Posted November 3, 2004 Well I'm pretty sure I can always go custom. But for now I just wanna throw a bunch into this engine or just save money and buy a 3800 SC which is prolly what I was gonna do anyway Quote
Carotop Posted November 3, 2004 Author Report Posted November 3, 2004 Well actually most businesses that are even somewhat successful deal business like that. Ok since aftermarket isn't all that big, does anyone know of any magazine articles or project cars, either on a cutlass or on the 3.1? Quote
Carotop Posted November 3, 2004 Author Report Posted November 3, 2004 Does anyone know if the Bonneville 3800 fits in the Ws???? Quote
perfecseal Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 http://www.domesticcrew.com/660/ make a hybrid just read this page tells yah all about it... Quote
Carotop Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 For the 3800 can you bore it out to 4.0?????? Quote
Canada Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I've done busniess with RSM Racing. Great company. For some reason they have a bad name here...........mostly because of Ben. At least they aren't Mantapart. Quote

Carotop Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 Well I'm prolly gonna go through them for mostly suspension things and a couple of performance things. Quote
HokemBokem Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Well I'm prolly gonna go through them for mostly suspension things and a couple of performance things. Why? Quote
Aaron Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 As for suspension, go to FFP. He deals FIRST HAND with W-bodies, has owned more than a couple, and sells quality parts at good pricing, without 6 week shipping from Canada. Quote

Quote
Carotop Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 They got the same coil-overs at RSM. And actually I really don't mind waiting. Quote
terryk2003 Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 They got the same coil-overs at RSM. And actually I really don't mind waiting. not true RSM has some $$$ Front Lowering Springs and some instructions on how to "Safely" Lower the rear using the existing leaf spring. FFP has a real rear coil-over for the W's mix that with the Suspension Tech's Front Lowering Springs or wait for the FFP coil-overs for ther front in the near future.... thats the way to lower a W-Body!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enough Said Go to RSM Racing for there STB Bars but expect a wait for them to be made per order..... A rear Swaybar buy the ADDCO one for the W-Body for a bigger front sway bar try to find a 34mm Z34 Bar and you will need the bigger bushings as well. as far as Shocks and Struts go.... KYB is the best for the buck.....but avoid Gabriel brand they suck. there is your best w-body suspension set-up IMO how much lower will that setup make the car?...i'm just kinda curious as i wanna lower my cutty just a slight amount to reduce wheel well gap... ismellrealbad Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Does anyone know if the Bonneville 3800 fits in the Ws???? bonnie L67 does...but with MANY other GP parts needed to get that to fit.i dont see why its 3800 wont fit Quote
Carotop Posted November 4, 2004 Author Report Posted November 4, 2004 Where are the suspension tech lowering springs at???? And what about the performance stuuf from RSM has anybody used any of that stuff??? Quote
HokemBokem Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 No becuz no one is that stupid. Thats why I asked why before. Quote
Canada Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I don't know, between their $160 hot air intake, and 6 week shipping, they just got a bad name. I recieved my $180 WAI (which did make 4.5 whp over stock and 3.5 whp over a K&N drop-in) in 3 days......................I live in Iowa..............apparently they have turned to sucky since I dealt with them.
