Speckkial
How is or is the oxygen sensor affected by a leak in the muffler or exhaust system? I have a 96' CS 3.1 SFI and my "service engine soon" light is on. I think I have a leak in the exhaust system somewhere.
WhiteOut
It depends on which O2 sensor is bad. Is it one of the ones on the exhaust headers, or is it the one behind the converter? If you've got an exhuast leak in front of the one thats behind the converter it can cause that sensor read falsely which would cause a fault code. The best thing to do would be to take the car to autozone and have them do an OBDII scan on the car, get the codes and report back.
