90TGP
I was VERY surprised that the 1990 TGP has such a low drag coefficient compared to other sports cars. It has the same as a C5 Vette! TGP-0.299 C5 Vette-0.30 Viper GTS-0.35 DSM Vert-0.32 Skyline GTR-0.35 McLaren GTR-0.50 Jetta-0.36 Porsche 944 Turbo-0.33 80s 300ZX-0.33 80s Corvette-0.36 IROC Camaro-0.37 Turbo Thunderbird-0.
Guest
where did you find these #'s from their very interesting.
90TGP
I just typed drag coefficients into yahoo. Most of them came from a website that cars from the 80s and Supraforums.com. I think you can get a lot of them from car magazine websites [like motortrend].
GnatGoSplat
Yeah, aerodynamics was a big thing when the W-bodies came out. One of the first advertisements I had ever seen for the then new 1988 Cutlass Supreme coupe was that it had a drag coefficient of 0.297. Guest Anonymous
Not to sound stupid but what exactly do those numbers mean?
GnatGoSplat
Lower numbers are better, means less drag, better aerodynamics. On the other hand, if you like G-bodies or pretty much anything American from the early 80's, I guess you'd prefer higher numbers.
Guest Anonymous
Lower numbers are better, means less drag, better aerodynamics. That's what I thought it was. Thanks for the clarification.
