Marcus18 Posted October 27, 2004 Report Share Posted October 27, 2004 white 150000 miles oil changes every 3K, motor is excellent. interior is grey cloth in great shape everywhere but driver seat wore alittle. stained carpet on driver side. I think the back is completely clean(used rugs). one inch crack on dash coming off of passenger side speaker. steering wheel leather is bad on top but I have a cover on it. steering wheel buttons replaced with standard cover. aiwa 45W stereo and 50W 6 1/2 speakers in front. stock everwhere else. exterior needs paint. front bumper is primered and hood is primered(hood fliped up so it was replaced). stock rims with junk tires on back and good firestones on front. now for the goodies....160 chip, hollowed a/c fins, hacked off mufflers and no cat. (still being put on) t3 turbo, rebuilt x-over. transmission will be rebuilt. what do you think I could get out of this? You might not get alot on this board, but maybe ebay or a specialy car site, you can get a bit more. TSTE is the 4 door not coupe. TSTE's will go for more than 2 doors if the right person is found. I have all the pieces just need to hook the trans up so I can weld the x-over/turbo in the right position. dbtk2 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Share Posted October 28, 2004 With those kind of miles I would say about $1500. Mods don't help the value of the car any, so you may as well not list them. Actually, on collector cars, mods usually hurt the value. I would never expect to get more than $2-2500 out of my STE, which has SIGNIFICANTLY lower miles than yours. Also, why would you replace the factory STE stereo? With the factory amp, the gain switch on the door, the steering wheel controls, and 8 speakers, how can you lose? What else could you possibly want? My STE will rattle all the door handles on the car, and vibrate the mirrors so you can't really see out of them anymore...why would you put a cheap stereo in it.... Marcus18 Posted October 28, 2004 Author Report Share Posted October 28, 2004 my front speakers had nothing holding the speaks centered no flexable ring. my stereo wouldn't play cd's and the steering wheel buttons never worked. I'm going to hook the gain switch to a amp when I get one. I'm hoping for $2500 if I sell.
