stockgp
what do you clean the iac with when you take it out? i assume this is the right section being that it's on the throttle buod, but sorry if it's not
THe_DeTAiL3R
Blast it with throttlebody cleaner. You want to make sure that the spring isn't gummed up. If it's still a little black thats normal, you just don't want it gunked up.
stockgp
that won't damage it? i figured i'd use brake cleaner, but the book says not to use liquid solvents
Slade901
As long as the IAC's wire connector is removed, you can to use a throttle body cleaner or brake cleaner and lit dry up good before putting it back in. Sometimes spraying it would not remove the gunk. You may have to use an old brush to completely clean the IAC.
