stockgp
what's the sensor on the back of a 3.1 plenum opposite the map sensor? and where do the hoses go from it. i know the one goes to the throttle body, what about the other? i'm getting a code 33, which is the map sensor. could it be because on of the hoses on the other sensor isn't hooked up? does the map sensor hose even hook into this other sensor. also, could this be why my engine lopes for a while, then dies? 93 gp motor btw
Guest TurboSedan
i think you are referring to the MAP solenoid?
stockgp
dunno. it's mounted on the same metal bracket the map sensor is, but on the other side...
Guest TurboSedan
ok i was wrong. i just went out and looked at the underhood vacuum diagram lable on my car and apparantly it is the canister purge solenoid. below the red plug going to it there should be two vacuum nipples. the top one should go to the canister at the rear of the car, and the lower one goes to the throttle body. on mine i actually had a vacuum cap on the nipple that is supposed to go to the canister but i did have the lower one going to the throttle body. hope that makes sense! but yeah if you look at the vacuum diagram lable under your hood you should be able to figure it out. good luck
