GPXGRL Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 I'm looking at this beautiful GTP, but the dealer told me the cooling fan doesn't work.. How complicated would it be to fix that/replace it? EDIT: would it require a new motor? Quote
Scatterpack94SE Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 If your buying from a dealer have them fix the fan's ! Also if the fan's don't work you better check the head gasket's etc. Bring someone with you (who know's GP's) and check out the car... Quote
terryk2003 Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 well...it could be something as simple as a BAD RELAY...or it could be the electric fans are bad...you'd have to check a few things first...the first place i'd start is by checking to see if the fan comes on with the AC...if it does then the fans good and maybe a bad coolant temp. sensor...if not, you could pull the fan relay out and jump a couple pins...if the fan runs, then it prolly has a bad relay...if not...then it'll prolly need a fan... HokemBokem Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 It wont be that hard to fix. If it was a good deal then I would take it. Quote
jeremy Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 I would tell the dealer that I don't want it unless they fix it.... BTW: what year GTP? Quote
supreme_style21 Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Which fan doesn't work? There should be two.. could be a relay, motor, or coolant temp sensor. Quote
