GrandPrix34
an invisible wall that wont alllow the motor to rev past a certain point... with the DOHC, a cammed idle soudns awesome! Happened to me when one spark plug wire was busted, i was running on 5 cylinders and the car sounded real badass....but it had the accelerationg of a honda though.... DaveFromColorado
depending on which cams are off, and how far, it could range from anything to an awesome torque in the bottom end and nothin' over (example rpm) 4k - that RPM range could be just 'bout anywhere, it could die off at 2500 rpm's - or it could be the exact opposite - nothin' on the bottom end, and all of a suddon at a certian RPM everything comes to life - or if all the cams are way off, it could just feel like shit from idle to redline. there's SO many symptoms of timing problems, that it's really hard to pick one thing and say "that's it!" I'd suggest pullin' the front valve cover, and checking the two flats on the cam to make sure they're lined up with TDC on the crank. --Dave. Guest Anonymous
shitty idle, shitty running, wont start. Thats me. The engine does sound kinda badass, if it wasn't for the little puffs of smoke chugging from the exhaust.
