TeeJay3800 Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 I am thinking about putting an adjustable vacuum modulator on. Advance lists one for only $20. My question is how hard is this to do? I know its on the outside of the tranny sorta under the air box. Is there anything I should watch out for or do special when changing it? Thanks! I also have no idea how to safely adjust the line pressure. Info please! Quote

I also have no idea how to safely adjust the line pressure. Info please! Very easy. One bolt holds on a retainer that hold the modulator in. Take that bolt out, then pull the modulator out, make sure the gold cylinder thing comes out with it. Put new modulator on. I would start at 2.5-3.0 turns IN from where it was when you bought it on the adjustable, then drive it, see how it feels, then adjust to get the feel you want. You can adjust it with it on the car, but its easier if you take the airbox off to adjust it Quote
