midnight rider
my guess would be to spray everything real good with carb cleaner before reassembly
phantomFE3
use that time to check all the fluids.
slick
Clean out the ports that run to the egr really well. Hell, I could almost bet you didn't need a new egr, its just the fact that your ports are clogged up bad. Common problem.
skiiirt
Make sure u have all the gaskets required and replace em all. I dont know if this is a factory thing or if I was just trippin, but my mechanic said I was missing a gasket. I had replaced the 2 gaskets that I saw when i took the valve off, must have been another one that didnt come with the factory delco egr valve
no1kicker
I know the EGR in my other car was on there real good. I'd spray some pb blaster on there a few times to make the bolts come out easier. Might even have to run the car for a bit to heat stuff up (expand the metal). That at least works for the O2 sensor. grandprix9292
If you run the car don't get it to hot. and remember to put anti seize on the bolts for the egr. so next time it has to come off it won't be so hard to do. hope that helps you
