I figured you could do it cheaper. Just thought I'd show you how much the kits cost.
Guest TurboSedan
i checked on that 3400 at the body shop. it's in a '99 Grand Am with 37,000 miles. the engine is really clean. i'm going to try picking it up next month. the guy told me $400 for the entire engine and he could gaurantee it too. meanwhile i pulled the 3.1 (and Getrag) out of my Cutlass the other day. i'm going to turbocharge it WITHOUT changing the head gaskets. i am not going to spend alot of time and/or money on this thing since i'm set on the 3400 now. and hell yeah i'm going to have fun blowing this thing up i've already pulled the transmission off; OMG the clutch disc was paper thin  i've also pulled the plenum, injectors and fuel rail, rear exhaust manifold...blah blah... i just need a new clutch kit and a few gaskets and it's going right back in with all of the TGP stuff bolted to it. i need to start bugging Jay about that TGP/5-speed memcal he owes me....
