GnatGoSplat
3.6 VVT is all-aluminum too, and I'm gonna bet it fits. Wink Yeah, but how much are those going for now? I did a car-part search and for a CTS's 3.6 there about 2450, at a yard by me. It's just a matter of time. They put these in Rendezvous too, and it'll also be in Buick Lacrosse when that comes out. $2450 isn't too terribly expensive, I remember when L67's were running $2800 a year or two after they first came out. I actually saw a lacrosse back home a few weeks before I left, but what about the 3.5 in the Malibus? Or the new 3.9's? Are any of these avalable for a swap into a W? Baddflash
Whats wrong with the 2.8L VVt it makes 210 hp (156 kw) and 195 lb.-ft. of torque (265 Nm). Sounds pretty good to me, just add some boost and it would spank an L67 easily.
GnatGoSplat
I think all those new engines should fit. The most challenging part is the engine management, but I would probably try to get it to work with older electronics.

Vegeta
GM released the turbo 2.8, but its not really that impressive...until to consider what COULD be done with it. GM isn't gonna release their 3900 boosted or 3.6 boosted for a while it seems. 2450...if that includes the computer and wiring I know what im saving my pennies for. I want that or the 3900. Isn't the VVT partially contolled by the engine management?

Isn't the VVT partially contolled by the engine management? I think I read that it's entirely controlled by engine management, but it might be possible to reprogram an older PCM to control it.
