96 plug wires on a 93

I tried using 96 plug wires on my 93 because I relocated my coils *pics up later*

How come when I push down on the wire, it doesn't click on. All i gotta do is slowly lift the top part and it easily pops out. Anyone have any tips to getting the wires to work

see its not that the top of the boot needs trimming...its the bottom part, the part that touches the heads. Top part is pretty clean, looks like it needs like 1mm to completely seal off the whole from anything.

I am running the front 3 like I mentioned earlier and no lost of performance, (better than the dying, leaking ones I had).

if u mean where it "clips" onto the plugs then give ur idea a try it should work.. and ur best bet would be to pull a plug out and work on it that way... that way u can be sure that u can have all ur wires ready to go in before u do a bunch of guessing

wow, I will be the first to do a complete coil relocation mod! I gotta get my digicam b ack for pics! Wires look ALOT better than the wires I had before that went every which way and I had to zip tie because I had excess wires.

well I cut the upper portion of the spark plug boots, somewhat crude with a box cutter and the spark plug wires now firmly sit on the spark plugs. This is only for the front 3 though, so I will have to remove the plenum in order to install my rear three plugs.

I feel its worth the trouble since I will have less wiring running all over the place plus it will look nice and clean. I will post pics as soon as I can get my digicam back from my cousin.
