Brian P
It went on my dad's '02! Just replaced it with a revised part from GM. The original was a pile of crap. The protective film lifted and flaked right off. Nice eh?

The way I see it, it's a big flaw when you outsource parts from other manufacturers: You won't know if it's good or crap until it's "field tested" by the consumers. Obviously GM finally went to a difft company (in Slovenia no less) with a totally different design.

However, it comes to bite the end user (you and me) in the ass in situations like the one you're in (having to replace components that were worth shit to begin with). GPRACER
I replace them regularly at work, Not only on the W's, all models, trucks too. Lots of times they fail due to a water leak in the cowl outside.
