Well originally I thought that was a ground and had it grounded to the frame. I hooked it up, fuel pump turned on, and i started the car. Man do I feel like an idiot. The new transmission is doing "ok" I think the shifter cable has to be adjusted though as it doesn't go into gear right away, according to the shifter, gotta put it into OD, then push it into Neutral then slam it back into OD.
