Brian P Posted October 9, 2004 Report Share Posted October 9, 2004 when you clearcoat them, try to avoid rattle cans and also avoid anything lacquer based. If you HAVE to use cans, use acrylic clear (you can try wheel specific clear paint but I'm not sure if thats lacquer as well) The lacquer paints hold on to brake dust and the only way to clean them up is to compound them every time.
