stockgp Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 i'm not diggin the wheels. other than that, i think it looks good . Quote
jeremy Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 seriously though....nice choice of colors, the rims and the hood vents make me want to though the duals look good too. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Wow, the car looks great, but those 89 Regal wheels look outta place. Looks like you got those suckers polished up pretty good, though! Quote
Dirty Rockstar Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I like it! The vents could have been dropped into f;ange type things like the Sunbird GT Turbos or the Z34/Turbo Prixs.. The rims.. You need some Cutty 5 spokers.. Or Int'l wheels.. But the car owns.. Whats the exhaust setup you have there? Quote
stockgp Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 i didn't notice the hood before. not feeling the vents. maybe gtp vents or z34s would have been better? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Looks good! I love shiny paint! Yeah, I'm not feeling the vents and wheels either. Quote
Jcrow Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 Hey the wheels were only $100 at the junkyard. Maybe when i'm rich i'll get some 17's Quote
slick Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Definately wheels!! Other than that, nice and shinny!! Quote
manitcor Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 nice job, looking clean, was that just an exterior strip down and repaint or the full deal inside and out? if you dont mind me asking how much did it run you? Im looking to get repainted in a season or so here as I have some small spots and chips that are driving me crazy. Quote
90TGP Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Looks good, but like everyone else said, you need to get some different wheels. Quote
Garrett8 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 i like the car looks good im gettin my z repainted black this summer hopefuly by then ill have 18's to Quote
Jcrow Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 The exhaust is stock except for turbo mufflers and no cat. I welded a pipe from behind the stock muffler over to a second muffler, the tips are some stainless advance auto specials. The new rockers were about $150 from the dealer and he told me there were only 4 of one side and 2 of the other left in the country! trunk was $60 hood and grills were $80 fender was the only decent one around and the bottom was rusted and they got $140. Paint totalled about $400-500. I needed a special prep wash because the rockers are galvanized. probably $80 in welding supplies. I'm sure there is more that I dont remember. I did not strip anything - I sanded it down with a DA sander or by hand. Does anyone know if wheels from a '97 or newer grand prix would fit? I kind of like the twisted cross-lace wheels http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7925782229&category=33744 As for the hood vents - the gtp ones I found were non-functional! I want the air to circulate in there when the turbo goes in. Quote
Dirty Rockstar Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Kick ass.. You could have gotten Z or Turbo Prix vents to become operable by opening up the supplied baffels.. But thats in the past now, and those TA ones look nice.. I woulda had em dropped in a flange myself.. Any before pics of your Cutlass? Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 That is HOT  I'd definetly vote for swapping '92+ taillights though Quote
White93z34 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 yeah i'm not crazy about those wheels either, but it looks nice. any before pictures? Quote
Jcrow Posted October 7, 2004 Author Report Posted October 7, 2004 The before pics are on my other computer, if I have time I'll have em tommarow Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 I think the whole thing looks nice, the (pontiac sunbird turbo/dodge spirit turbo) hood vents look damn nice, Even the rims look alright on the car - altho I think a set of 16" Z rims would look better, but the car is still damn sharp! --Dave. Dannymik Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 The black looks damn clean! I'm like the 20 other people...my only problem is with the wheels....hey dont feel bad, everyone hates the wheels on my prix! Quote
digitaloutsider Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 The black looks damn clean! I'm like the 20 other people...my only problem is with the wheels....hey dont feel bad, everyone hates the wheels on my prix! I don't mind the HiPo version of your wheels.. The brushed aluminum just look horrible. Quote
mfewtrail Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Looks sweet, the wheels actually don't look that bad to me. Quote
phantomFE3 Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 i like it! the only thing i would do is something with the stance, maybe lower it an inch or two and maybe get some offset rims or some spacers (offset rims would be better) but it looks awesome! im jealous Quote
bluegp Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 FWIW, I think the wheels look good. Like said, it would look even better if it didn't sit so high (like most every other W). Quote
