fierofanatic
For some reason, the shifter cable seems like its too long for the new tranny. The transmission will shift, but the gears aren't locking in properly and everything, it's the same transmission, I know for sure. I unbolted the bracket from the old tranny, and bolted this one on. Do I have to pull apart my center console, loosen up the shifter assembly and pull it back a few millimeters? I had a problem like this with a shifter on a fiero before, and that somewhat fixed it I think..... Its just that this new transmission is in the exact same location like the old one. When I went to initially pop the plastic thing over the ball (In Park), the cable was as far back as it would pull, and it still was a tight fit getting it onto the shifter ball. Baddflash
I guess if it's the same trans and mount bracket cable ect.. And everything is installed correctly... I'd say the tranny is screwed up or it actually is a different tranny and has a different shift linkage which I believe it would if it's not a fiero trans.
