Maverick Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 It came on again, and won't turn off. I don't like seeing it. Any ideas on how to remove it with out removing the bulb? Quote
supreme_style21 Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 A hammer. Fix the problem or it won't go away w/o removing the bulb. Quote
Maverick Posted October 3, 2004 Author Report Posted October 3, 2004 Darn it... I was afraid of that. Quote
DiscoStudd Posted October 3, 2004 Report Posted October 3, 2004 Well, I tightened down my auxilliary Positive battery terminal and the ABS light quit coming on . That was for a completely different reason, though (low voltage due to the cable being loose.) Maybe give it a try and see if it goes away, ya never know... Quote
skiiirt Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 how about fixing the abs? perhaps a vaccum leak? that solved my abs problem Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 probably be easier to pull the bulb than fix the abs if my abs ever dies, i'll just rip the dash apart and pull the lightbulb Quote

supreme_style21 Posted October 4, 2004 Report Posted October 4, 2004 I hate ABS in the winter.. in the summer, it saves my tires. If it went out entirely, I probably wouldn't fix it. Quote

When I swapped dash clusters, I found the ABS idiot light had burned out ! There was no way in hell that I was ever going to have it fixed. My wife's Lumina never had ABS. Turns out ABS was optional in 96... Quote

Mine was starting to, so now I tighten it down every time I gas up. I'm thinking about putting another nut tightened down against the original one to keep it from working itself loose... Quote
