Robby1870 Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Are any higher ratio rocker arms made for the 3.1L MPFI, and if so, where could I go about getting them. I would rather do this upgrade than do a cam, a cam just takes too much time. Any info or ideas for other upgrades are welcome. Thanks Quote
Vegeta Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Comp cams sells a 1.6:1 roller tipped rocker arm. i think its part number 1412-12. I think the 1.52:1 is 1413-12. The part numbers may be switched but It was easy to remember 1413-12:) Quote
Jon89le Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 1413-12 was the PN on my 1.52 ratio ones. So im guessing you have it right with the 1413-13 being the 1.6. Ben, is there a big noticeable difference if one would go from a 1.52 to 1.6? Ive done H/C pistons, 2030cam, head porting, decking, and a few other things. Quote
crazychuck29 Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 How hard is it to change rockers and what kinda gains can you get from them including what happens with MPG? Quote
Jon89le Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 Changing rockers isnt hard, its just a nut that holds them down. The only annoying part is getting the stuff off to get the valve covers off. Quote
