f_399 Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 how do i make a duplicate that will work in the ignition? i had one made but it only works on the doors. Quote
supreme_style21 Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Um.. the same way you had one made for the doors. Unless you NEED the chip, then you visit the dealer. Quote
jeremy Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 just go to any locksmith, they should have the keys with the resistors and should be much cheaper then the dealer.... Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I only said the dealer because I'm that anal about my keys. If they aren't OEM I feel cheated and whored out Quote
DiscoStudd Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 You aren't going to save any money by going to a locksmith. They have to pay $15 each for the VATS keys' blanks themselves, so they have to mark up the price accordingly. Your best bet is to go to the dealer and pay the $30... Quote
WhiteOut Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I got a VATS key coppied by a local locksmith for $22. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 I paid $45 (CAD) at the dealer.. I don't think there are any locksmiths around my area that have them, but I should have checked... :? Quote
