EurosportZ34 Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 that's the overseas Lumina Quote
JoroCorona Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 All I Have to say is... PIMP! :worship: Quote
Darksyde Posted September 28, 2004 Author Report Posted September 28, 2004 that's the overseas Lumina Yea that's pretty obvious. But still the pic of the Lumina SS in the photo album there looks sweet as hell. The same way 90% of the Holden's from australia flat out destroy the US counterpart Chevrolet. Quote
jeremy Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 The "ute" is awesome...why can't GM produce cars like that for the states....everything over here is boring.. Quote
Darksyde Posted September 28, 2004 Author Report Posted September 28, 2004 tell me about it...the "ute" basiclly glorified looking S-10 with a damn 5.7?!? talk about some some wicked power to weight ratio. Quote
jeremy Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Looks like an SSR to me. aside from the fact that it isn't convertible......I personally like this "ute" a lot better then the SSR...although the "lumina" name plate would steer me in the other direction if it ever came to purchasing one, not like they will ever come to the states Quote
Guest BeausoleilRacing Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Yeah, why can't GM bring stuff like this into the US if they can import the Monaro as the GTO... With a 5.7 and 6 speed, there would be nothing out there productionwise to outrun it, save for MAYBE the Corvette. Quote
Brian P Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I can't see the ute being sought after by S10 users (especially commercial) but whatev! Thanky GM Quote
HokemBokem Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I like the other lumi, the one thats not a truck Quote
DOHCRagtopguy Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Very nice. Those marketing people at GM should jump all over it and put it out as an El Camino. Drop that LS-1 motor in there, Wa Hoo!!! Quote
Guest BeausoleilRacing Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I hope to go to OZ one day... I have a girlfriend down there with a Holden Ute SS 5.7 w/ a 6 speed... She tells me the acceleration is just unreal. Quote
Guest BeausoleilRacing Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Anyone else remember the Lumina El Camino concepts ASC built about 10 or so years ago? I think they did one based on a 2 door and one based on an APV. Quote
jeremy Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 Anyone else remember the Lumina El Camino concepts ASC built about 10 or so years ago? I think they did one based on a 2 door and one based on an APV. I thought those were photoshops.... Quote
conley3.1 Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 That car's (Lumina SS) been posted many a time, but it still makes me cringe every time. Cringe at the fact that Chevy is stupid enough NOT to sell those here, that is. Especially the HSV Maloo R8... That's the high performance version of the Ute SS. 382 hp (or 402, I think)... Quote
SEiZe Posted September 28, 2004 Report Posted September 28, 2004 I think that the "lumina" that is posted is crap. This Lumina looks so much better plus it is RWD. Or how about a Caprice SS? It would beat the snot outta one of the Impalas here in the states. Quote
conley3.1 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Uh... The Lumina that was posted? That's the same Lumina as the one you posted, only a 4 door version. Or, are you talking about the black Z34? I hope not, because thats just his signature, plus it looks cool Quote
SEiZe Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I was refering to the top Red El Camino/SSR wanna be. Didn't see the other one at the bottom of the page since I was disgusted by the red one. Quote
loominaz34 Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 To me, the australian version looks like an overgrown aveo with GTO wheels. :? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 That car's (Lumina SS) been posted many a time I'll say! About 3-4 times a year since 1998. Quote
BurneroftheRice Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 It may look ugly but I love it! 8) Quote
Guest BeausoleilRacing Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 I like! I like! ugly is timeless... Quote
